Reach Out Your Hand
Many are aware that healing takes place through prayer, but are not cognizant that it comes by other means as well. One of the more unexpected ways that healing can be transmitted is through physical action. Sometimes a simple touch can be a mechanism for breakthrough.
We find this principle evidenced in the gospels. On one occasion, "the people begged Jesus to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed" (Matthew 14:36). When the afflicted grabbed the fringe of Jesus’ prayer shawl, healing was released. Their simple action positioned them for restoration.
This wonderful truth strikes close to home. My wife and I were unable to have children after getting married in 1996. With a severe case of endometriosis, the doctors said that Bobbie and I would probably never have a baby.
My wife got desperate one night during a powerful revival meeting. During a moment of fervent intercession, she grabbed the pant leg of one of the ministry leaders. That night her physical action became a vehicle of breakthrough. God moved through that response and my daughter was conceived.
I want to encourage you to be open to all the inexplicable ways that Jesus heals. Be aware that sometimes the breakthrough will be transmitted through a faith-filled action. If you need a healing, just reach out your hand!
